Quick Start Guide

Get Docket running on your Discord server in under 5 minutes. No coding required.

1

Log in with Discord

Go to docket.gg/dashboard and click Login With Discord. You will be redirected to Discord to authorize Docket to view your servers.

Docket only requests the permissions it needs. It will never post on your behalf or access your DMs.

2

Add the bot to your server

After logging in you will see a list of servers where you have Manage Server permission. Click Add Docket Bot next to the server you want to manage.

You will be taken to the Discord bot authorization page. Make sure to keep all the requested permissions checked — Docket needs them to manage channels, assign roles, and send messages.

Required permissions:
- Manage Roles
- Manage Channels
- Send Messages
- Embed Links
- Read Message History
- Manage Messages
- Create Threads
3

Open your dashboard

Once the bot is added, click Manage Dashboard on your server. You will land on the Overview page showing live stats for your community.

If you just added the bot, the stats will be empty — this is normal. They populate as members interact with Docket.

4

Configure your first feature

From the sidebar, pick the feature you want to set up first. We recommend starting with one of the following:

  • Ticket System — fastest to set up, immediate value
  • Applications — if you run whitelist or department apps
  • AI Training — upload your rules and SOPs to get the AI assistant running
5

Invite your staff

In Bot Settings > Staff Roles, assign which Discord roles have access to the dashboard and can manage tickets, applications, and members.
