AI Personality & Tone

Customize how your AI assistant presents itself to members — its name, communication style, and behavioral boundaries. A well-configured personality makes the AI feel like part of your community, not a generic bot.

Display name

By default the AI identifies itself as "Docket AI" in Discord messages. You can change this to anything that fits your server theme — "Metro Assistant", "LSRP Support", "The Oracle", whatever makes sense for your community.

To change it, go to Dashboard > AI Center > Settings > Display Name and enter your preferred name. The change takes effect immediately.

Tone presets

ToneDescription
FriendlyWarm, approachable, uses casual language. Best for most RP communities. This is the default.
ProfessionalFormal and precise. Good for serious RP servers or communities with a strict immersion focus.
ConciseUltra-brief responses — 1 to 3 sentences when possible. Good for busy servers where members want quick answers.

System context (advanced)

The system context is a short instruction that shapes how the AI approaches all of its responses. Think of it as a permanent instruction given before every conversation. Examples:

You are the AI assistant for Metro State RP. Always be professional
and helpful. If you are unsure of an answer, direct the member to
open a support ticket. Do not speculate about staff decisions.
You are CityBot for Los Santos City RP. Keep responses short and
direct. You serve the community — be warm but efficient. Never
make up rules that aren't in the provided documents.

Keep the system context under 200 words. Longer prompts are trimmed and may produce inconsistent behavior.

Testing your personality

Use the Preview Chat on the right side of the AI Center to test how your AI responds with the current settings. Ask questions your members commonly ask and verify the tone, name, and accuracy are correct before going live.
