AI Training

Train Docket AI on your community's specific rules, SOPs, and guides so it can answer member questions accurately — without staff lifting a finger.

How the AI learns

You upload documents — PDFs, text files, or paste content directly — and Docket processes them into a knowledge base specific to your community. The AI uses this knowledge base when answering ticket questions, reviewing applications, and responding to member queries in your configured channels.

Your documents are never shared with other communities or used to train any shared model. The knowledge base is entirely yours.

What to upload

The more detail you provide, the better the AI performs. Good documents to upload:

  • Server Rules — your full ruleset including NLR, VDM, RDM, etc.
  • Penal Code — the in-character laws and charges used by LEO
  • Department SOPs — standard operating procedures for each department
  • Staff Guides — how staff handle situations, ban reasons, appeal processes
  • FAQ documents — common questions and your standard answers
  • Lore and setting documents — world-building info members frequently ask about

Uploading documents

  1. Go to Dashboard > AI Center > Knowledge
  2. Click Upload Document
  3. Choose a file (PDF, .txt, .docx) or paste text directly
  4. Give the document a name for easy reference
  5. Click Train — processing takes 30 seconds to 2 minutes depending on size

The status column shows Training while processing and switches to Trained when complete. The AI uses it immediately.

Testing your AI

Use the Preview Chat panel on the right side of the AI Center to test questions before your members do. Type any question a member might ask and see exactly how the AI responds.

If a response is wrong or incomplete, check whether the relevant document has been uploaded and is showing as Trained. You can also edit documents and re-upload to improve accuracy.

AI personality settings

Under AI Center > Settings you can customize:

  • Display Name — what the bot calls itself in your server (e.g. "Metro Assistant")
  • Tone — Professional, Friendly, or Concise
  • System Context — a short prompt that sets the AI's behavior and boundaries

Example system context: "You are the AI assistant for Metro State RP. Always be helpful and professional. If you are unsure, direct the member to open a ticket."
